AB Capital bar stools: Not just for the drinking before the bar

People admittedly come to bars to get a drink or two or more, but more than that, they oftentimes get a bite to eat too, whether before, during, or after drinking. Modern bar furniture designs today take that into account, hence the availability of bar stools of varying heights. While high stools made for at-the-bar drinking will probably never be phased out, lower bar stools at dining table-height are increasingly being seen.

Many people are not against the idea of eating dinner while sitting on a bar stool, though there’s this perception among some bar-goers that the elevated position of traditional bar stools help one’s digestion. Sort of like an urban myth – who knows if that indeed is true? In any case, there are two wooden bar stool models that somewhat typify what can be found in tavern seating today: the AB Capital 371 and the AB Capital 332/333.

Both types of chairs are constructed from solid beech. The AB Capital 332/333 stools have a tapering back, which can be fitted with a satin chrome grip. It measures 108.5 cm high, 45 cm wide, and 37 cm deep. Its seat height is pegged at 76 cm, making it suitable for placement either before a bar or a dining table.

The AB Capital 371, a backless stool, on the other hand, has the following measurements: 75 cm (height), 41 cm (depth) and 41 cm (width). Both models come in either fabric or leather seats.

Whether or not a bar has an extensive area in which dining tables are situated, whether it has only a couple of bar tables or a dozen, it’s essential to have chairs and stools that are of the right height and in which patrons can feel comfortable – whether they’re downing shots at the bar or eating dinner on a table.
